Noise Control at Events - Elmbridge Farm
The management at Elmbridge Farm take their responsibility to the environment very seriously. This includes noise
pollution resulting from events held within the tipis. To minimise noise pollution, we have taken the following steps to
meet conditions set by our local council.
All clients and visiting acts must note and adhere to:
- Elmbridge Farm have installed an in-house directional speaker system, called a Zone Array limited to (95)dB
LAeq on the dance floor. - All entertainment music must finish by 00:00 hours.
- All amplified equipment must be directed through the in-house speaker system and frequency specific Symetrix Prism process-limiter.
- Visiting acts can connect to the speaker system via an XLR patch point. Adaptors are available if required.
- For new acts Elmbridge Farm will supply a sound engineer to ensure that set up and sound check run smoothly.
- Bands will only be allowed to perform if they comply with the following:
- All equipment is to be DI’d (direct input/injection) into the main mix.
- No visiting amplification equipment is permitted.
- Digital brass instruments are required.
- Alternatively brass instruments can be played using a mute to reduce the acoustic volume, then mic’d up and amplified through the in house system.
- Digital drum kits are required.
- Bands must use in-ear monitoring.
- Bands must finish their sets no later than 23:00.
It is important that clients and visiting acts liaise with Elmbridge Farm to ensure that their setup will be compliant and they fully understand how the system works.
