So you’re getting married and you’re thinking that Elmbridge might be the perfect place for your wedding? Well, we couldn’t agree more!
Let us take you through our top ten reasons why we think this is the place for you…
1 – The Setting
You really won’t find another quite like it. We have a gorgeous lakeside location which our tipis really make the most of, and you can even get married looking out across the water! If you’d prefer a more secluded spot, we have some wonderful woodland for you to explore. There’s plenty of open space for you to wander off into to take your pictures and you’ll have all the privacy you need. When you book the venue, you’ll have exclusive use during your wedding so everything you see is yours. We’ve added a load of fairy lights, cute bridges and walkways, and a little love island too so you have acres of space but it still has a wonderfully cosy feel.
2 – The Tipis
Here at Elmbridge we have top quality tipis because we only want our couples to have the best! We have four tipi hats in total meaning you have ample space, and they’re fitted with everything you’ll be needing so there’s really nothing for you to worry about. There’s luxury wooden flooring, our furniture is all included, plus we have a state-of-the-art sound system which creates a buzz on the dancefloor but allows ambient music for those who prefer to sit back and chat. We’ve taken care of everything so that all you have to do is turn up and decorate to really make the space your own.
3 – Accommodation
If you want to make a weekend of it you can stay right here on site, and we have a couple of options for you depending on your vibe! Our lodges sleep up to 18 people and they provide the perfect place for you to pamper and prep on the morning of the wedding. We also have glamping available in the new bell tent village, sleeping up to 30. Everything is fully furnished and we have washrooms on site for guests to use.
4 – Our bar!
We have a fully stocked and staffed bar on site which serves it all including draught beers, personalised cocktails and a popular speciality gin selection too. Our team can take care of service from the drinks reception through to last orders which makes everything a little easier for you – just knowing that it’s in our capable hands means you have one less thing to think about.
5 – We’re corkage free!
On the topic of drinks, we do allow you to bring your own in completely corkage free. They could be served as a welcoming drinks reception, you might provide wine on the tables during the meal, or you may choose to add a keg of your favourite beer onto the bar for your guests to enjoy. You provide what you think you’ll need, and we won’t charge any extra for it!
6 – Make your day your own!
We give you the freedom to make your day totally unique by allowing you to choose all of your own suppliers. We do have recommendations we can offer if you need a hand, but you’re welcome to bring along your faves too! That means you can have any style of catering, any type of décor and add all of your own little touches to make sure you have your wedding your way! Don’t forget you can also choose where you want to have your ceremony, what drinks you’d like us to serve, choose your own layout and seating plan inside… you can really make our venue your own!
7 – The Elmbridge team
We’re a super friendly and enthusiastic bunch! Amy and Dan have dreamed that same tipi dream, having created their own wedding; by now they know everything there is to know about a tipi wedding. Although we love it when you DIY your day, we are always here to lend a hand through the process and we’ll make sure to deliver you an unforgettable day. Elmbridge Farm is family-run and we really value our carefully curated team – you’ll get to meet most of them at some point and we know you’ll just adore them!
8 – The facilities
Yes, we’re going to talk about the toilets! We know that thinking of an outdoor wedding might be scary because you’re wondering what kind of facilities you’ll be faced with, so let us assure you we have everything you could need. We have a fully-converted toilet block with everything built in and we even add some little extra touches to make it super cosy and convenient.
9 – Location, location, location!
We’re perfectly located for guests travelling from afar as we are just a short distance from the M5, but once you pull in and drive down the lane you’ll be in your own little private haven. There’s a cute country pub just down the road for those who are staying over in our accommodation and for guests who want to whet their whistle before they get to the wedding! There’s lots of amenities nearby and many of our suppliers are based locally, making it super easy for you to find everything you need for the day. Then when you get here, you can take the weight off and leave the rest of the world behind!
