Photo Opportunities Not To Be Missed!

The photos of your wedding are going to last forever, so you’re going to want to make sure you get the best pictures possible. There are some great spots around Elmbridge Farm for you to explore, including a few little hidden gems! So make sure you don’t miss out on any by having a look through our guide of top spots for photo ops…

The Ceremony Space
If you’re choosing to get married here on site, we have a stunning lakeside location where you’re guaranteed to get great photos. There’ll be a chance to get some shots of you making your way down the aisle as there’s a lovely long walk for the bride and her tribe to make the most of – or arrive in style in a car or quirky campervan, as we’ve seen done here before! When you say your vows you’ll be looking out over the lake, and you’ll be able to dress the archway which will take pride of place in your pictures. And, as well as the entrance, you’ll get some great shots of your exit! Walking back up the aisle together is a special moment – it’s especially great if you’re throwing confetti. You’ll want some great snaps of the two of you walking amongst your guests, and there’s no better backdrop than this!

The Fairy Light Pathway

As the sun begins to set at the end of the day, our venue takes on a whole new vibe. The lights and the colours in the tipis begin to shine and the twinkly fairy lights bring a cosy and romantic feel to the farm. We’ve added festoon lighting across the paths to guide your guests around the venue, but the abundance of tiny lights in the trees also makes a gorgeous backdrop to your evening photos. There’s just something magical about it, don’t you think?

The Woodland
If you’d prefer a more secluded spot for your ceremony, you can also get married in our woodland clearing. But whichever you choose, make sure you come out and explore the space throughout the day as we know you’ll find more brilliant spots for your photos. The woodland is amazing in golden hour as the sun is coming through the trees; it’s perfect for some fun group photos with your bridesmaids and groomsmen; and it’s ideal for your couple portraits when you want some shots just of the two of you. Not many venues offer this much land for you to roam free in, so make sure you make the most of it all!

Sparkler Shots
With such a pretty, twinkly background it would be rude not to add some sparkler shots into the mix, right?! They never fail to create a cosy atmosphere and they always provide some truly beautiful memories! They’re a great way of getting all of your guests involved in a photo whilst still putting you two centre stage, and you’ll end up with pictures that look like they belong in a movie scene or on the page of a magazine. Stunning every time!

The Bridge
We’ve seen so many great snaps of the bridge used in all sorts of different ways. For those having a lakeside ceremony it’s nice to lead your guests across the bridge to your drinks reception, and you’ll get some great snaps of your guests following you over to the tipis. You can come back and grab some photos later on with your bridal party or family members and it’ll provide a beautiful background by the lake. Or sometimes your photographer will sneak some nice natural shots of the two of you as you’re wondering around the venue and taking some time out on your own. It’s great to capture those quieter moments too, as those are the ones you really want to remember.

Amongst the pampas grass
When you’re looking for a spot away from the crowds where you can get some pics just of the two of you, wander down into the fields and get amongst the pampas grass. Just a thirty second walk along from the tipis, it’ll take you away into a little private haven where you can take some time on your own and get the photos that you’ll be wanting to have framed in every room of the house! Another great spot for golden hour, when the light catches just right you’ll get some truly incredible shots.

Just the two of you by the tipis!
These are always some of our favourites! Everything is going on behind you – you can see the guests enjoying all their food and drinks, all of your gorgeous styling can really be appreciated, and you get a great glimpse of the incredible surroundings and unique setting that the tipis provide. But of course, all eyes are on you! It’s a great way to show off everything in one simple snap, and hopefully it’ll be one you’ll cherish for a very, very long time to come!

Your photographer will have a field day exploring our grounds and picking the best places to take your pictures. Make sure you keep this list handy to show them all the bits you like best!
