Leanne & David – it’s All About You!

What happens when you have a groom with exceptional attention to detail and an obsession with spreadsheets, and a bride with such vision that she can DIY the life out of a tipi venue?
Let us show you…!

In the build up to this wedding, Dave had been all over the planning. There were timelines with each detail worked out to the minute, every job allocated to a specific person, and every moment of the day had been given careful consideration. The yin to his yang, Leanne was a very laid back bride whose main job was to keep Dave calm as the wedding approached! But she threw herself into the styling and created an incredibly beautiful, colourful, celebratory vibe across the venue for everyone to enjoy.

On the morning of the wedding Leanne got ready in our holiday cottages with family, as Dave and the boys came up to the tipis in their finery to put the finishing touches in place and prepare for the ceremony.
The whole day got off to a pretty epic start with beer boys handing out bottles to guests as they arrived to take their seats and the confetti men ensuring everyone was ready to throw their petals at the end. Not only did the bride and her tribe get to make a beautiful entrance, but the boys got right into the spirit of things too with their friend Scott acting as Flower Dude and wowing everyone with his moves! They also asked friends and family to lead their beautiful ceremony for them.

Once the ceremony was complete, Dave and Leanne lead their guests back over to the tipis to enjoy drinks in the sunshine. They’d brought big baths and buckets where guests could help themselves to beers and hung balloons to let people know about the Hydration Stations to cool down. Didn’t we say they had thought of everything?! As an extra special treat, a fabulous Mr Whippy ice cream van pulled up with its music playing and managed to entice guests over for an ice cream out on the lawn. There was time for drinks and photos before everyone came to take their seats for the wonderful speeches and fabulous food – which culminated in an abundance of Colin the Caterpillar cakes!

After dinner a photobooth arrived in the shape of a gorgeous converted VW Campervan and guests enjoyed mingling in the setting sun as Dave and Leanne headed off to have some more photos taken – and how gorgeous do they look?! They called upon their bridesmaids and grooms men to help out with a few more epic smoke bomb photos which matched perfectly with all of the colourful bunting and pompoms they’d used, and made for some really memorable moments!

When it was time for the dancefloor to open, they got it going in style. Not with the traditional couples’ first dance you might be used to, but with a special performance from our groom to his bride! Taking to the stage with the band, Dave gave a fabulous rendition of All About You by McFly (his favourite band which had provided a little bit of a theme throughout the day…!) and it made way for an evening of singing, dancing and a of course a little bit of drinking – it wouldn’t be Dave’s wedding without a pink drink in hand, would it?

These guys put together a truly beautiful day. There were plenty of tearful moments and sweet little asides, but as you can see from their faces it was a day full of pure joy and happiness! All of the organising truly paid off and we couldn’t be happier for them.

Congratulations David & Leanne!
