10 reasons to hold your wedding at Elmbridge Farm

It is such a delight to say the world of weddings is officially opening up again! The last few weeks have been a joyous flurry of venue enquires – and viewings are booking up fast. What better time to tell you all the delights of Elmbridge Farm? Read on for our top ten reasons to hold your wedding here.

1. The glorious countryside setting

If wide open, gorgeous British countryside is what you’re looking for then this is it. Our tipi stands on a spacious, (pleasingly flat) grass terrace, with steps leading down to a large tranquil lake. Exclusively yours for the day, the space feels very private, shared only by the singing birds and the gentle breeze in our beautiful old trees. The tipi space is bordered by areas of charming woodland, also yours to be enjoyed on your day.

2. The atmosphere inside the tipi

Our giant four hat tipi looks nothing short of magical from the outside. Canvas and timber is just meant to be in this natural setting. The first sight of our tipi is absolutely guaranteed to blow you and your guests away. Inside, the ambient glow created by the sunlight on the canvas, the twinkling fairylights climbing every timber pole, the pitched roof all come together to create an atmosphere that is unmatchable by any other type of tent or structure. Not to mention the panoramic lake view from the dining tents.

3. The space is ready to go

Normally, creating a tipi wedding is hard work. We know, we had one. You need a beautifully kept outside space, then you need to hire a generator, toilets, tables and chairs…you pretty much need to think of everything down to the cake knife yourself. Our tipi is fully set up with all of the essentials and furnishings to seamlessly pull off an epic event. Electricity, furniture, sound systems, lighting proper toilet block, haybales….it’s all included in your hire.

4. We’re an eco-conscious venue

We are always striving to be an eco-friendly venue. Investing in renewable power sources (no diesel guzzling generator!), eco furniture, using more eco plumbing systems and working with eco (and local) suppliers are just some of the ways we’re taking responsibility for our Planet.

5. The breath-taking ceremony spaces

We have two picture perfect spots where you can exchange your vows in the open air. Our lake view ceremony area is situated a short stroll from the tipi, across a wooden foot bridge crossing the water. The backdrop of the lake is utterly idyllic. Our woodland ceremony area, oozing dappled sunlight and bohemian vibes, sits hidden from the path, in a clearance in the trees. We even have a large space inside the tipi which is reserved as a rain contingency, so you can relax.

6. The freedom to create a day just the way you want it

At Elmbridge Farm, rather than being restricted to fixed in-house suppliers, such as caterers, ceremony celebrants and florists, you are welcome to choose your own. Create a day that reflects your unique style and vision just perfectly. In need of a little inspiration? Then we know the best wedding suppliers around who we gladly share with our couples.

7. It’s corkage free all day and all night

Many venues charge a corkage fee which is applied to each bottle of alcohol provided by the couple and not the venue. We do not charge corkage, meaning you are free to bring your own drinks to be served freely all day and all night. We’ll even provide the bar staff to serve them for you.

8. The accommodation on the farm

Just a stroll from the tipi you’ll find Elmbridge Holiday Cottages, four luxury and modern farmstays offering ideal accommodation and prep areas for the bridal party over your wedding weekend. For those seeking a closer touch to nature we can offer you Bell Tent Glamping, right in our woods, for a one or two night stay. Plus our nearby towns offer a great selection of hotels for every budget.

9. The location

Elmbridge Farm is a private, secluded little haven ideally situated in the heart of the West Midlands, just a few miles off the M5 motorway, well connected to both the North and the South of the country. Just at the top of our road you’ll find The Chequers pub, a perfect pre-wedding meet up point for your guests seeking a great bite to eat and the first toast of the day.
